About Wroclaw

Wroclaw is the capital city of the polish region called Lower Silesia. Wrocław history exceeded 1000 years. It is located in southwestern Poland near the Czech Republic and Germany. Recently Wroclaw population exceeded 600.000 inhabitants. It has the status of the university city. It was classified in the top 100 cities in the world for the Mercer Quality of Living Survey. In 2016 Wroclaw received the title of European Capital of Culture. Also, it was located on ,,The Guardian List” as one of the ten most attractive cities for tourists. In Wroclaw, you will numerous historical landmarks like Cathedral Island, Centennial Hall (listed on the UNESCO list), or one of the most beautiful Market Squares in Europe. You can also visit the oldest zoo in Poland with a unique Africarium. Africarium is an oceanarium where you can meet selected ecosystems from Africa.

Also, our students have possibility to use unique ,,Polinka" cableway which connects WUST buildings located on the opposie sides of Odra river.

About 2.5 hours from Wrocław you can find of the biggest mountain breed in Poland – Sudetes. It is located on the two countries border – Wroclaw and Czech Republic. The highest and the most recognizable summit is Sniezka. Besides, Lower Silesia offers numerous health resorts like Swieradow-Zdroj, Polanica-Zdroj or Duszniki-Zdroj.
