Erasmus+ and double degree

Studies – Erasmus and other exchange programmes 

Around 120 international students come to study at Wrocław University of Science and Technology within the framework of the ERASMUS Programme every year. Exchange programmes are the great opportunity to learn from professors who are willing to pass their knowledge and get the best practice in a professional and friendly environment.

The faculty of Environmental Engineering offers courses in English for incoming students under Erasmus and other exchange programmes in the field of Environmental Engineering and Building Services.?

Being the Erasmus scholar at Faculty of Environmental Engineering at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology gives the great opportunity to meet students and world-class professors who share their experience and work ethic. Double degree

Our Faculty offers a double degree programme. Studies are realised at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (WUST) and South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK)

First degree students can obtain simultaneously engineer title in speciality Air conditioning, Heating and Sanitary Installations from WUST and XAMK University.

The programme involves our Faculty's students staying at XAMK University at 4th and 7th semester of engineering degree and dissertation realization with the cooperation involving supervisors from both Universities. Other semesters are performed at WUST University.

The programme also gives a possibility to apply for an internship, which students realise on their own.

One of the conditions which allows to participate in double degree programme is obtaining by students at least 55 ECTS after 2nd semester and 170 ECTS after 6th semester. English knowledge on level B2 or passing the exam performed by XAMK.

Studying of partnership University is tuition-free.

Double degree studies schedule is presented below:

  • semester 1-3 at WUST
  • semester 4 at XAMK
  • semester 5-6 at WUST
  • semester 7 at XAMK

According to agreements students may realise courses listed below (in English, totally 60 ECTS):

  • Power Production and District Heating (5 ECTS)
  • Air Conditioning Systems (5 ECTS)
  • Cooling Technology (5 ECTS)
  • Principles of HVAC Design (5 ECTS)
  • Design and Dimensioning of HVAC Systems (5 ECTS)
  • HVAC Commissioning (5 ECTS)
  • Heating Systems (5 ECTS)
  • Heating and Cooling Demands in Buildings (5 ECTS)
  • Indoor Climate (5 ECTS)
  • Project Management Skills (5 ECTS)
  • Electrical and Automation Engineering (5 ECTS)
  • Water and Sewage Services in Buildings (5 ECTS)

Recrutiment takes place once in a year in February/March. Application for the 7th semester is led after 5th semester.
