Especially for you, on the Faculty of Environmental Engineering website, we provide essential information about documents and administrative tasks you must complete to begin your studies, the organization of studies and the teaching process, important deadlines, as well as students’ rights and responsibilities.

Important Information for Students beginning in the 2025/2026 academic year (FIRST YEAR OF FULL-TIME SECOND-CYCLE STUDIES AT THE FACULTY OF ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING, WUST)

1. Participation in the Matriculation and Introduction Day

Due to the significance of the event, attendance at the Introduction Day should be treated as a mandatory privilege. We would like to meet and welcome all of you. The meeting will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM – Building D1, Room 14.1 – Plac Grunwaldzki 13, Wrocław.

2. Student ID Number

Each admitted student will be assigned a student ID number by September 23, 2025. Students who were previously enrolled at WUST will retain their existing number. The number can be found in the IRK system, in the Education tab, under “Album number.” The number consists of six digits.

3. Acceptance of the Oath and Declaration

Student rights are granted after accepting the oath. This can be done between October 1–7, 2025 in the USOSweb system, provided the student begins their second-cycle studies on October 1, 2025.

4. Activation of Student Email Account

Detailed instructions are available at: https://pomoc.pwr.edu.pl/support/google/pierwsze-logowanie-na-studenck-skrzynk-pocztow. Student email address format is as follows: album_number@student.pwr.edu.pl. In case of problems, please contact: pomoc+poczta@pwr.edu.pl.

5. Password Reset or Setup

To log in to IT systems, you need your unique AD account login and an individual password. Detailed instructions can be found here:

6. Student Email System

7. USOS IT System

WUST students use the USOS system.

Logging into the USOS system:

The login and password described in point 5 allow you to log into the USOS IT system at: https://web.usos.pwr.edu.pl

8. Electronic Student ID (ELS)

Fee In the USOS system, after being assigned a student ID number, admitted students will be charged a Student ID fee (ELS) of PLN 22.00 (note: the account number is different from the one used for the application fee), which must be paid by September 23, 2025, via bank transfer to the student's individual account. The account number will be visible on the Student Profile in the USOS IT system at: https://web.usos.pwr.edu.pl.

Student ID cards will be issued from October 1, 2025, at the Faculty Dean’s Office, provided that the oath and declaration have been accepted in the USOS system. Students who already have a valid Student ID (ELS) due to simultaneously studying in two programs should submit a declaration regarding the place of receiving the ELS at the Faculty Dean’s Office. The form is available on the Faculty website at: https://wis.pwr.edu.pl/studenci/inne/druki-i-podania/studia-stacjonarne.

9. Course Credit Recognition

Deadline for submitting applications regarding Course Credit Recognition:

  • September 26, 2025.

Submitting an application for Course Recognition at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering requires:

9.1. Downloading the form “Application for Course Recognition in the Academic Record” from https://web.usos.pwr.edu.pl/ (to download the document, go to News > Documents > Documents to download).

9.2. Completing the downloaded table and sending the file in .XLS (Excel) format along with a scanned copy of the transcript of records (certified by the ,,home” Dean’s Office) to the following e-mail address:

Please put “Course Recognition” in the subject line of the e-mail.

9.3. After the preliminary verification of the documents, you will receive a confirmation from the dean’s office with an attached .pdf file. Then, you should log in at https://web.usos.pwr.edu.pl/, go to For Students > My Studies > Applications > Submit a New Application, select “Application for Course Recognition in the Academic Record”, and proceed to “Fill in the Application”.

9.4. The application should be completed according to the provided “Information”, with the PDF FILE APPROVED BY THE DEAN’S OFFICE ATTACHED TO THE APPLICATION.

The completed application with attachments must be printed, signed, and delivered to the Faculty of Environmental Engineering Dean’s Office – Building D-1, Room 11.3 – by October 7, 2025, or placed in the correspondence box located in front of the Dean’s Office.

10. Facebook Groups

11. USOS – Course Registration

1. Registration for faculty courses for students starting their studies on October 1, 2025, will be handled administratively by the Dean’s Office staff by September 30, 2025, before the start of the winter semester 2025/2026.

2. Students must register themselves for university-wide courses: Foreign language course 2.1 – exercises – 30 hours, 2 ECTS credits

  • September 26, 2025 (Friday), 8:15 AM – 12:00 PM: registration for students with special needs or health issues;
  • September 30, 2025 (Tuesday), 8:15 AM – 12:00 PM: registration for second-cycle (master’s) students;
  • September 30, 2025 (Tuesday), 2:15 PM – 11:59 PM: corrections of registrations;
  • October 1, 2025 (Wednesday), 8:15 AM – 10:00 AM: registration for courses outside the study program (administrative registration).

12. Health and Safety (OHS) Training

All students starting their studies at Wrocław University of Science and Technology are required to complete the mandatory Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Training, which is conducted via e-learning after logging in at: https://szkoleniebhp.pwr.edu.pl First-year students of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering are required to complete and pass the OHS training.

Training period: from October 17, 2025, to December 15, 2025.

13. Study Regulations

The Higher Education Study Regulations at Wrocław University of Science and Technology are mandatory reading for every student. We recommend that all first-year students familiarize themselves with its content. It contains all the essential information regarding the course of study, guidelines on assessments and exams, thesis work and final examination, as well as a collection of the rights and obligations of every student. The full text of the regulations is available on the university’s website.

16. Dean’s Office

The Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering is located in Room 11.3, Building D-1 at Plac Grunwaldzki 13. Current information about the Dean’s Office working hours is available on our faculty website: wis.pwr.edu.pl.

All student matters at our Dean’s Office are handled by the Student Service Office (BOS).

18. Faculty of Environmental Engineering Website

At www.wis.pwr.edu.pl, you can find news, important information, and materials related to studies at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering. The website continuously provides key dates for students, information about the Dean’s Office, study programs and plans, student activities (e.g., scientific clubs), contact details of faculty staff, current news and announcements, and templates of student applications.

The faculty website also has an EN section. It is recommended to check it regularly.

19. Parking

Access to Wrocław University of Science and Technology parking spaces designated for students requires a valid Electronic Student ID (ELS). Registration is required at: https://skd.pwr.edu.pl/start.

20. Polinka Cable Car

Polinka is the Wrocław University of Science and Technology’s cable car. It connects the university’s Main Campus with the Na Grobli Campus located on the other side of the Oder River.

Polinka was built for students, doctoral candidates, and staff of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, but it quickly became a tourist attraction for the entire city of Wrocław.

Currently, two cabins operate over the Oder. It takes less than three minutes to travel from one bank to the other. Up to 370 passengers per hour can be transported in each direction. Each cabin can hold 15 people at a time (10 seated and 5 standing).
